We\xe2\x80\x99re looking for an HR Advisor to join our team and play a key role in fostering a positive and inclusive culture at Rogers for our Retail team members. The HR Advisor will collaborate with an enthusiastic group of people leaders in our Corporate Retail team, while committing to improving employee productivity, engagement, and influencing business results with HR impact.

What you will be doing:

  • Act as a trusted advisor and serve as the primary HR contact for people leaders in the guidance, interpretation, and application of corporate policies and procedures.
  • Provide advice and coaching on situations requiring legal and procedural compliance, labour and employee relations, workforce planning, talent and performance management, compensation, and organizational development.
  • Improve leader capability to independently resolve problems involving employee relations and to stimulate change management through knowledge transfer, mentoring, and training.
  • Collaborate on delivering regional and national HR projects that are in-line with our key people priorities. Participate in planning and the outlining of project timelines and milestones.
  • Connect with retail teams in the field by performing store visits on a regular basis.
  • Along with leadership, determine and understand their needs, communicate effectively, and improve people practices, process choices, and programs.
  • Assist leadership with establishing effective practices for meeting the needs of the company and employees.
  • Stay informed about business knowledge within your department and across the company.
  • Participate in industry and HR committees to seek out and implement best practices.
What you will bring:
  • Between 3 and 5 years of experience in human resources as a generalist or advisor, preferably in large companies (CHRP is an asset), or equivalent experience.
  • University degree with a concentration in business or human resources is an asset
  • Ability to navigate and collaborate in matrix-based mode across various functional teams and establish strong relationships at all levels of the hierarchy.
  • Good problem-solving and influencing ability, along with the ability to understand many human resource issues and diplomatically resolve conflict situations.
  • Able to work under pressure and with strong organization, planning, and time-management skills.
  • Able to drive multiple matters and projects in parallel.
  • Experience in conducting inquiries and investigations.
  • Impeccable work ethic and able to manage priorities while meeting tight deadlines.
