Perform initial intake assessments and triage for clients who are looking for support to access and maintain housing, prevent housing loss and access the Centre, via walk-in, phone-in, or over the internet. Support referrals to services offered by the Hamilton Housing Help Centre and across the community.
Responsibilities & Duties
Present a positive and professional image of the HHHC to all visitors.
Perform intake assessment and triage all walk-in and phone-in clients, referring them to internal and/or external resources.
Provide program information on support services and available resources.
Respond to all inquiries and support client in accessing information and services.
Organize, maintain, and coordinate client records and manage database files.
Operational support including setting up prior to opening and closing, photocopying, stocking resources and updating listings.
Perform other duties as assigned related to major responsibilities of the job.
Qualifications
College diploma or an acceptable combination of education and experience;
1 - 5 years customer service and community-based experience.

Strong verbal and written communication skills to exchange information clearly and concisely with team members and clientele.
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively liaise and consult with clients, other team members and community contacts.

Other Duties
Participate in Staff and other meetings.
Perform other duties as assigned, which are directly related to the major responsibilities of the position.
Participate in health and safety activities.
