Employment Opportunity-Housing Program Customer Care Liaison
The Medicine Hat Community Housing Society (MHCHS) is seeking to fill one permanent full-time position. As a Housing Programs Customer Care Liaison you are part of our Housing Programs team and your passion for providing exceptional client service contributes to the Medicine Hat Community Housing Society's high level of client services.
On behalf of the organization, and the first point of contact for our clients, this position is responsible to greet and welcome clients seeking services in our office, and provide a compassionate and welcoming environment. You will communicate in an open, helpful, and engaging tone, and will focus on providing hope for each client you have the privilege of serving. You will offer assistance through various channels such as in-person, phone, and email. Additionally, you will work with the MHCHS team to resolve customer support concerns and serve as an ambassador for the Medicine Hat Community Housing Society brand.

Key Position Responsibilities
Triage client inquiries for multiple departments, access appropriate department personnel to effectively address the needs of the client.
Housing Professional responsible for promoting a successful experience with MHCHS clients.
Assist individuals with applications for housing, respond to inquiries, collect rent, process service requests, provide information re: housing programs and other related resource information, re-route calls & inquiries, etc.
Administrative tasks associated with the position e.g. letters, statistical recording, updating tenant accounts, data entry, etc.
Work cooperatively with other MHCHS departments, landlords and community stakeholders.
Key Requirements
Exceptional Customer Service Skills; friendly, personable, confident, trustworthy, responsible.
Successful completion of Grade 12 or high school equivalency diploma.
Office technology certificate or similar training/experience.
1-3 years practical experience with customer relations in an office environment and/or related training.
Strong verbal and written English communication skills. Being multi-lingual would be considered an asset.
Neat and professional in appearance.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, troubleshoot, manage busy schedule and multiple competing priorities.
Ability to manage pressure, and a diversity of tasks simultaneously.
Bondable and trustworthy.
Primarily regular office hours (typically Monday to Friday 8 am - 4:30 pm). Occasional after-hours requirements.
