Our Housing Division works to ensure that all community-owned homes and facilities are properly maintained and managed to the highest standard. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join our team as a

Housing Maintenance Foreman.

Reporting to the Director of Housing, the Housing Maintenance Foreman plays a key role in overseeing the day-to-day maintenance and repair of YKDFN housing units and facilities in Dettah and Ndilo. The Foreman will coordinate maintenance staff and contractors, manage work orders, and ensure all housing assets are safe, functional, and well maintained. This position combines leadership and hands-on technical work and plays a vital role in supporting the wellbeing and comfort of YKDFN community members. This role involves travel between Dettah, Ndilo, and Yellowknife, so a valid class 5 driver's license and access to a personal vehicle are required.

The ideal candidate will have:

A trade certification such as Carpenter, Plumber/Oil Burner Mechanic, or Electrician At least three (3) years of residential or facility maintenance experience, including supervisory responsibilities. Strong practical knowledge of northern construction practices, building codes, and maintenance systems. The ability to lead and mentor a small team while ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency in all maintenance activities.
