Job Summary

:

?Esdilagh First Nation is seeking a highly organized and community-focused

Housing & Infrastructure Administrator

to support and oversee the Nation's housing programs, housing-related assets, and infrastructure initiatives. This position plays a key role in coordinating housing operations, maintaining accurate housing records, supporting infrastructure and water systems, and acting as a liaison between community members, contractors, consultants, and external partners.

The successful candidate will contribute to both day-to-day housing administration and long-term planning, expansion, and sustainability of housing and infrastructure within the community.

Responsibilities

:

- Manage housing applications, housing waitlists, and allocation processes

- Support and coordinate housing construction, renovation, repair, and expansion projects

- Build and maintain strong working relationships with contractors, project managers, consultants, and service providers

- Liaise between members, contractors, and leadership to support clear communication and issue resolution

- Coordinate utilities and service connections for housing units

- Conduct site visits to community and building locations as required

- Work closely with maintenance staff to address housing and infrastructure needs

- Assist with water testing, water supply issues, and infrastructure maintenance in collaboration with relevant teams

- Support infrastructure projects outside of housing as required

- Work alongside the Emergency Management Team to support preparedness, response, and recovery efforts

- Support land and water planning initiatives

- Assist with grant writing and funding applications related to housing and infrastructure

- Prepare reports, summaries, and updates for leadership, committees, and funding partners as required

- Work collaboratively with Tsilhqot'in National Government (TNG), external project managers, and consultants

- Support compliance with funding, reporting, and regulatory requirement

- Build, support, and coordinate the Housing Committee, including agendas, meetings, and follow-up

- Coordinate or support housing and infrastructure-related meetings, community sessions, and events as required

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date housing records, including addresses, maps, unit details, mailboxes, utilities, and occupancy information

- Maintain housing plans, layouts, and housing-related documentation

- Track and maintain housing-related assets and inventories

- Manage housing insurance files, renewals, and claims

- Serve as a primary liaison between community members and contractors regarding housing matters

Qualifications

:

- Experience in housing administration, infrastructure coordination, project management, or a related field

- Strong organizational, record-keeping, and administrative skills

- Ability to maintain accurate technical and asset-based records

- Strong communication and relationship-building skills with community members and contractors

- Knowledge of housing, infrastructure, water systems, or public works is an asset

- Experience working within a First Nations government or Indigenous organization is a strong asset

- Ability and willingness to travel to community and project sites

- Proficiency with office software, databases, and record management systems

- Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation

Working Conditions:



- Combination of office-based work and site visits

- Some evening or occasional after-hours work may be required to support projects or emergency response

- Regular travel within the community and to infrastructure sites

Pay: $28.00-$35.00 per hour
