Housewares/party City Sales Associate

Job Description
Canadian Tire North is currently hiring a sales associate to work approximately 25-35 hours per week in our Housewares and Party City department. Applicants must have open availability and be able to work alternating weekends.
The sales associate position is fast-paced and involves constant interaction with customers.
Responsibilities Include:
Meet, greet and thank customers and provide friendly, informed service to them Guide customers to location of products Suggest value-added and related products Stock shelves and display areas Keep stock clean, faced and orderly Operate a cash register Help customers select balloons for their event Inflate balloons and create balloon bouquets Other tasks, as required
Requirements Include:
Providing professional customer service and employee support Ability to work in a team environment to achieve common goals Ability to maintain composure and work effectively in a fast-paced environment Ability to complete tasks according to instructions and demonstrate responsibility for outcomes Approachability Punctuality and reliability Ability to stand/walk for 8 hours Ability to lift 25 lbs. unassisted Ability to lift and turn repeatedly throughout the shift
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $15.00 per hour
