Located in Victoria's beautiful inner harbour, the Hotel Grand has a position available for a Houseperson. As a member of the Housekeeping team, you will play an important role in helping our independent hotel achieve its mission to provide a superior level of service to our guests. Availability: varied weekday and weekend / 6:30 am-3:00pm, 3:00pm - 23:30 pm

Description of Duties:

Ensure that established cleanliness standards are maintained in all areas of the Hotel Clean floors, carpets and windows Respond to requests for housekeeping item deliveries Provide support to Room Attendants as required Communicate guest concerns to ensure the highest level of service is provided Report any maintenance concerns to ensure safety standards are met

Required Skills & Abilities:

WHMIS certification desired Previous cleaning or janitorial experience Adaptable to changing demands Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physical position Excellent attention to detail Clear and effective communication skills An efficient self-starter Able to handle and move objects weighing up to 30 lbs over short distances Able to occasionally push carts weighing up to 200 lbs over moderate distances Available to work over 30 hours per week Available to work varied shifts including early mornings, evenings, and overnights
