The Role

We are currently seeking a highly motivated individual to fill the role of Housekeeping/ Assistant Cook working in JDI Woodlands, New Brunswick. This position is accountable to fulfill all the tasks in the cook house and assist with the meal preparation. It also includes managing the daily cleaning and small maintenance tasks of all our Camp Sites and Buildings in the region. The role is key to ensuring we have well maintained facilities that meet JDI Standards. Position will be required to travel to remote locations.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the meal preparation
• Assisting with unloading the food truck for the cook house
• Ensure all Buildings are prepared for the next day by taking out trash, tidying furniture and dusting surfaces
• Sweep and mop floors, wash and sanitize toilets, sinks and showers and restock disposables (e.g. soap)
• Prepare all bedrooms for occupancy
• Occasional lifting of heavy items, moving furniture etc.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and report any needs to supervisor
• Identify and report any damages to Supervisor
• Perform maintenance and minor repairs

Experience & Qualifications:

• Good work ethic and positive attitude
• Must have valid driver license
• Strong commitment to safety and safe work practices
• Able to lift 50lbs
• Able to work with minimum supervision and overseeing tasks to come
