Responsibilities

Perform thorough cleaning of assigned areas, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and disinfecting surfaces to uphold high standards of cleanliness. Handle janitorial duties such as trash removal, restocking supplies, and maintaining cleaning equipment for optimal performance. Conduct floor care activities like buffing, polishing, stripping, and waxing to preserve flooring quality and appearance. Assist with custodial tasks related to industrial or commercial cleaning projects, ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Support facilities maintenance by reporting repairs needed for fixtures or equipment and assisting with light maintenance tasks such as painting or minor repairs. Maintain a clean and organized workspace by properly storing cleaning supplies and equipment after use. Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.

Skills

Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, custodial duties or facilities maintenance. Strong knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing. Ability to operate cleaning machinery such as floor buffers or industrial vacuums safely and effectively. Experience with commercial cleaning environments or industrial cleaning processes is preferred. Skilled in residential painting or minor maintenance tasks that support overall facility upkeep. Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify areas needing special care or repair. Good physical stamina for standing, bending, lifting heavy objects, and performing repetitive tasks over extended periods.
