Essential Job Duties:
This position will involve 3 days of cleaning rooms each week, with 2 days as active Supervisor Role and Room Checker. This may vary per week based on business needs.
Ensure high levels of customer service, cleanliness and sanitation standards are adhered to in all areas including public, guest room, storage and laundry as per Brand Standards.
Assist the Executive Housekeeper to prepare work schedules in accordance with labour standards, occupancy and productivity requirements.
Create and uphold a deep cleaning schedule.
Promote and comply with established Hotel Safety standards and policies.
Provide leadership, training and coaching to Housekeeping employees and work as a team with Maintenance & Front Desk Departments.
Monitor employee performance, provide feedback and conduct reviews in accordance with company policies.
Maintain a positive, empowering and productive work environment. Monitor and enforce standards of appearance.
Establish and maintain cost control systems for staffing, linen inventories and cleaning supplies.
Order, receive and monitor inventory levels of linen and housekeeping supplies.
Conduct daily, weekly and monthly inspections.
Record and monitor guest lost and found items.
Perform housekeeping and other duties as required.
Ability to work various shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays.
Physical Requirements
Able to perform cleaning tasks involving bending, crouching and reaching
Ability to lift, push and pull up to 30 pounds
Ability to work with chemical cleaning products
Qualifications
Previous Hotel Housekeeping Experience Completion of high/secondary school Proven leadership/supervisory experience is required, preferably in a hospitality setting CPR, WHIMIS and First Aid Training an asset
Qualified applicants must be legally eligible to work in Canada at the location to fulfill the requirements of the role.
