Reporting to the General Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the housekeeping operations in a 64 room limited service hotel. This includes hiring, training, scheduling and supervision of housekeeping and laundry staff; supplies ordering and control; room checking; coordination with other departments including maintenance and guest reception.
We are looking for a mature, reliable person, with a calm demeanor and a focus on guest satisfaction, capable of effectively supervising up to 10 persons in peak season (most of the year 5 - 7 persons).
High school graduation and a minimum of three (3) years relevant commercial cleaning or hotel housekeeping experience along with at least 12 months of supervisory experience in this environment. You must have proven communication and basic math skills. Fluency in English is required. Bilingual (English/French speaking) preferred.
The nature and size of the operation requires the successful candidate to be a hands on supervisor, capable of assisting staff in the day to day work of the department, but still be able to maintain a focus on the bigger picture. Typical work day is 8am-4:30pm, with some flexibility and seasonal variability. Supervisor must be able to work weekend shifts.
