Role Proposition:Imagine arriving to work at a stunning slope-side hotel after a day of hiking in the wildflowers or a round of golf. We are currently seeking to recruit some outstanding leaders to join our Executive Housekeeping team. We are looking for flexible, energetic team players with a strong eye for detail who can work diligently through hands-on leadership, ensuring the housekeeping team can maintain an inviting atmosphere for guests upon arrival and during their stay. Medium: Work activities involve handling loads between 10 and 20 kg; Predominately indoor setting.This job position requires physical presence at the designated location.Accountabilities:

  • Assess inventory of room cleanliness cycles on a daily basis, assign tasks to teams for cleaning and inspect rooms
  • Verify and report status and/or discrepancies of rooms
  • Monitor payroll reports, work schedules, lost and found program, stock rooms and carts and designated inventories
  • Communicate and coordinate with Maintenance to ensure efficient maintenance and repair of items related to guest rooms and public areas
  • Respond to special guest requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner
  • Maintain familiarity with cleaning equipment; fill out stock requisition counts as necessary.
  • Oversee teams for Public Space and Guest rooms for efficiency and cleanliness, ensuring public space meets and exceeds guest expectations for the appearance of the hotel
  • Conduct department training on a regular basis, providing staff with the skills training to provide value added service to guests.
  • Maintains a safety culture within the housekeeping department, ensuring active departmental participation, adherence, and awareness to Hotel and WorkSafe BC standards.
  • Perform Room Attendant, Public Spaces and/or Houseperson duties, as needed
  • Assist in performance evaluations of Housekeeping team members, as needed
  • Will be required to work various shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Ideal Candidate:
  • 2 years\' minimum Housekeeping experience with 1 year of leadership experience in a hotel setting or related industry
  • Post-secondary education in hospitality or related discipline preferred
  • Highly safety-conscious work ethic encouraging and enforcing correct safety procedures/standards, and ability to recognize and act in emergencies
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Physically able to move and / or operate large objects, such as room attendant carts, suite furniture, large bags of linen, vacuum cleaners and boxes of inventory
  • A working knowledge of computer and hotel systems, specifically Opera and Microsoft Office
  • Reliable and responsible person with team-based ethics
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multi-task
