Job Description

Saskatoon Services for Seniors is looking for a proficient and conscientious Housekeeper to join our team and participate in our mission of providing home support services to older adults (55+), seniors and physically and mentally challenged individuals who want to remain in their own homes.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

Vacuuming rugs and furniture Sweeping and washing floors Dusting and general tidying Cleaning stove and/or fridge Cleaning cupboards and closets Cleaning the bathroom: tub, sink, toilet and bath aids Preparing light meals Companionship
Requirements of candidates are:

Ability to treat and care for seniors and their property with dignity and respect Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and congenial manner Ability to speak and write English at an average to high adult level Ability to lift, push or pull 20 pounds Ability to bend, twist, stoop, kneel and reach Complete a criminal background check and provide 3 professional references Must possess a valid driver's license. Having a reliable vehicle is required. Being punctual, reliable and honest
We provide a work environment which has:

Part-Time/Casual shifts, which are available between 9AM - 6PM weekdays. NO WEEKENDS OR STAT HOLIDAYS for ideal work/life balance! Shifts range from a minimum of 3 to 8 hours per day, and you must have open availability during operating hours. We assign consistent days and hours each week to provide continuous care to the clients. Competitive Pay - starting wage is $15.00/hr plus travel time between clients.
