POSITION AVAILABLE: Housekeeping Room Attendant REPORTS TO: Housekeeping Manager LOCATION: Staybridge Suites - Oakville ADDRESS: 2511 Wyecroft Road, Oakville, Ontario, L6L 6P8 SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Housekeeping Manager, the Room Attendant(s) will thoroughly clean and service guest suites with a high attention to detail and assist with the hotel\xe2\x80\x99s entire overall cleanliness. RESPONSIBILITIES: \xc2\xb7 Thoroughly clean assigned guest suites according to standards \xc2\xb7 Familiar with departmental procedures and policies and ensure standards are adhered to \xc2\xb7 Be in proper Room Attendant uniform (clean uniform, nametag, proper shoes) \xc2\xb7 Maintain or replace all guest supplies and amenities, including lightbulbs \xc2\xb7 Be helpful and courteous to guests, potential guests and team members \xc2\xb7 Use cleaning products and materials correctly and with good care \xc2\xb7 Be careful and correctly handle equipment (vacuums, carts etc.) \xc2\xb7 Ensure Room Attendant cart is neat and tidy at all times \xc2\xb7 Report any defects and safety hazards and be familiar with WHIMIS \xc2\xb7 Familiar with the Fire Safety Plan and know your responsibilities in case of a fire/alarm \xc2\xb7 Follow special cleaning instructions and directions from the executive housekeeper \xc2\xb7 Adjust/set the room temperature controls in unoccupied suites \xc2\xb7 Assist with training and developing other cleaning staff when asked \xc2\xb7 Be efficient, effective and responsive with inquires and requests using good communication \xc2\xb7 Work with supervisor (and maintenance) to ensure deficiencies and maintenance items are attended to \xc2\xb7 Be familiar with hotel services offered \xc2\xb7 Attend any training sessions or meetings (when asked) \xc2\xb7 Ensure floor housekeeping storage areas are clean, maintained and organized \xc2\xb7 Accomplish or assist with \xe2\x80\x9cSpecial Projects\xe2\x80\x9d or other cleaning tasks as required \xc2\xb7 Other duties may be assigned by management REQUIREMENTS: \xc2\xb7 Must be able to lift 20 pounds on a consistent basis \xc2\xb7 Flexible schedule and reliable \xc2\xb7 Must be a fast pace worker and work well with others \xc2\xb7 Multi-tasking skills \xc2\xb7 Familiar with WHMIS, Health and Safety, and emergency protocols \xc2\xb7 Physical mobility and stamina are required \xc2\xb7 Ability to follow instructions and be detail-oriented \xc2\xb7 Professional and friendly with all guests. Ability to achieve guest satisfaction \xc2\xb7 Prior experience in housekeeping, cleaning, laundry or related jobs an asset Apply...
