Summary

The position of Housekeeping is critical to the customer service of Harbour Landing Village's residents and guests by depicting pride of ownership and respect for all. While following health and safety precautions, housekeepers clean resident suites, as well as provide regular cleaning of common areas of buildings.

Reporting to the Director of Facilities, Harbour Landing Village Housekeepers will have a strong attention to detail and a knowledge of cleaning procedures. They will have a strong sense of pride in their work, knowing they are in charge of ensuring a positive first impression for all who come to the Village.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

Perform a variety of cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, polishing, and vacuuming. Ensure all rooms assigned are inspected and meet expected standards Ensure equipment is taken care of, inspecting them to make sure no inadequacies exist Advise superiors of any damages, missing items, and/or disturbances efficiently Deal with customer complaints in an efficient and professional manner to the best of your ability Ensure stock of all items are correct and replace as necessary Adhere to rules regarding health and safety and follow company-related practices Outside/garden maintenance

Previous experience in the care home or hospitality sector.
