Duties

Perform thorough cleaning of rooms, common areas, and facilities, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and disinfecting surfaces to uphold cleanliness standards. Manage laundry duties such as washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and guest clothing with care and efficiency. Conduct floor care activities including polishing, buffing, and carpet cleaning to maintain pristine surfaces. Ensure all sanitation protocols are followed meticulously to promote a safe and healthy environment for residents and guests. Provide excellent customer service by addressing requests promptly, assisting with inquiries, and ensuring a positive experience for all visitors. Maintain organized storage of cleaning supplies and equipment, adhering to safety guidelines at all times. Support housekeeping management in coordinating schedules, inventory control, and training new team members when needed. Contribute to a welcoming atmosphere by ensuring guest or resident spaces are tidy, inviting, and well-maintained at all times.

Requirements

Proven janitorial or custodial experience in residential or commercial settings; hotel experience is highly valued. Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and floor care methods including carpet cleaning. Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy objects, standing for extended periods, bending, and reaching comfortably. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude; able to communicate effectively with residents or guests. Experience with laundry operations and familiarity with various cleaning tools and equipment. Knowledge of safety procedures related to chemical handling and equipment use to ensure a secure working environment. Prior experience in hotel housekeeping or commercial cleaning is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
