Summary

Northern Vision Development (NVD) is seeking an organized, hands-on leader to manage the housekeeping operations at our 99-room Best Western hotel. This property offers the familiarity of a trusted brand with the warmth and character of a uniquely Yukon experience. Guests experience exceptional comfort and cleanliness, leading to positive reviews and repeat visits. Housekeeping operations run smoothly each day through clear task planning and purposeful coordination. Your team is motivated and high-performing, supported by your on-the-floor leadership. Rooms are cleaned thoroughly and on time, so quality is never compromised. Cross-department coordination is seamless, allowing for prompt responses to guest needs, maintenance issues, and operational changes. Inventory is well-managed, so the team always has what it needs, without excess waste or shortage. Workplace health and safety standards are upheld, creating a secure environment for both staff and guests. You model flexibility and accountability, staying until rooms are complete and supporting your team during peak periods or challenges.

What You Bring To The Role

Leadership experience in a hotel environment, including a background in housekeeping. Quality Focus - a strong eye for detail and commitment to cleanliness, consistency, and guest-ready standards. Communication Skills - clear, respectful communication with staff and guests. Operational Awareness - ability to plan and adjust daily work based on hotel occupancy and guest needs. Leadership Mindset - ability to motivate, support, and hold a team accountable in a hands-on, fast-paced environment. Guest Service Mindset - a positive, welcoming attitude and a commitment to delivering outstanding guest service. Problem Solving - ability to stay calm under pressure, think critically, and resolve issues while preserving a friendly demeanor. Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Job Requirements:

Must be flexible with hours and able to stay until the housekeeping team finishes the daily room assignments, ability to frequently lift up to 25lbs.
