Prepare daily room assignments and key distribution to room attendants.
Inspect and check the work of assigned staff to ensure cleanliness, sanitation and orderliness of assigned areas and submit daily inspection and progress reports.
Ensures that rooms are kept clean and free from hazards.
Responsible for the training and orientation of new staff.
Oversee housekeeping staff productivity and cleaning percentages.
Work with front office and maintenance departments regarding the status of rooms, ensuring that guest requirements are met according to Hotel policy.
Designated staff areas, and public areas; maintain standards by Hotel Standard.
Input guestroom information into computer system.
Assist with cleaning rooms as needed.
Receives, processes, and handles guest complaints regarding housekeeping services
Hosts daily meetings with housekeeping staff.
Requirements
Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English.
Must have attention to detail.
Must be able to lift heavy objects; be on your feet for extended periods of time, able to crouch, bend.
Must have minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
Post- secondary education in a Hotel management discipline is an asset.
Previous hotel housekeeping experience is required.
Supervisor experience is an asset.
