Your responsibilities
As a Housekeeping Manager, you will manage our housekeeping team. Alongside the general manager and the assistant general manager, you will also participate in the mobilization and management of the hostel's staff.
More specifically, you will be called to
Ensure the housekeeping department works as a team to maintain the interior cleanliness of the hostel so that it is tidy, presentable, and comfortable;
Provide housekeeping staff with "hands-on" leadership that mirrors the mission and core values of Saintlo ;
Perform housekeeping duties as a team member when needed;
Inspect the work completed by the Housekeeping team on a daily basis to ensure the standards are being met consistently;
Follow up with staff in regards to guest concerns that we receive;
Facilitate organized and informative housekeeping staff meetings;
Conduct performance evaluations on the housekeeping team periodically;
Work with the maintenance clerk to recommend additional services required such as painting, repair work, renovations or replacement of furnishings & equipment;
Ensure an adequate stock of supplies is on-hand to perform all necessary housekeeping tasks;
Performing other duties as required.
you are the perfect CANDIDATE if
You have experience as a housekeeper;
You have experience in managing a team;
You have excellent organisational skills and problem solving skills;
You are a team player;
You have the ability to operate in both official languages, an asset;
You have knowledge of various computer programs including: Outlook, Excel, Word;
You have your First Aid / CPR Certificate, an asset.
