Hyatt Place Hyatt House Mississauga Airport Corporate Centre is looking for a dynamic guest service-oriented, and detail-oriented individual. The selected candidate will be responsible for supervising the Housekeeping functions at the hotel and ensuring that all rooms and public areas meet the highest hotel standards. Work towards continuous improvement and quality in all areas. Knowledge of a Housekeeping Management and Housekeeping department standards is an asset.
Job Role:
Assist with training and performance management of 20-25 employees.
Ensure housekeeping policies and procedures for all aspects of the housekeeping department are compliant to ownership and brand standards
Works with Maintenance personnel to ensure the working order of guestroom amenities
Track and communicate all supply ordering needs to the General Manager prior to ordering. Once approved, track and inventory all new product within the budgeted par stock guidelines.
Assist with the development of department procedures and productivity standards
Control departmental costs and establish accurate inventory records every month
Be accountable for the development and implementation of a thorough inspection process for both rooms and public areas
Provides weekly scheduling to team members
Completes and submits payroll on a biweekly basis
Work closely with all other departments to ensure the property is well maintained with proper preventive maintenance schedules in place
Conduct pre-shift meetings, support the Housekeeping Staff in completing room assignments based on the needs of the guest and budgetary goals
Follow all job safety policies and report any accidents and/or hazards.
Requirements
A minimum of 2-3 years of supervisory or department leadership experience within the hotel industry.
Leadership experience is an asset
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills complemented by team building and motivating abilities
Self-motivated, honest, creative, capable of working in a team environment
Results-oriented with the ability to adapt to the challenges of a continually evolving workforce, while remaining flexible and working under pressure
Strong organizational and computer skills with experience utilizing MS Office programs
Must be able to work any day of the week, including weekends and holidays.
