Position Overview

Under the direction of the Housekeeping Supervisor, and while demonstrating a commitment to the Mission, Values and Management Philosophy of St. Boniface Hospital, the Housekeeping Attendant is responsible for performing various cleaning functions/services throughout the Hospital campus; understanding and following Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) guidelines; and performing other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

Ability to read, write, speak and understand English. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to interact well with others. Good interpersonal communications skills. Ability to adapt readily to stressful situations. Ability to retain information which is of a confidential nature.

Physical Requirements

Ability to walk, stand, bend, twist, lift and reach continuously throughout the shift. Ability to lift approximately 25 lbs./12 kgs.
