Housekeeper/Cleaner Position

At Elk Island Retreat there are 9 glamping accommodations that need cleaning between guest check-out and check-in. We also have 36 RV sites that require site cleanup and garbage disposal.

Cleaning duties include but aren't limited to:

- cleaning accommodations including making beds

- doing laundry

- cleaning outhouses

- cleaning a shower / laundry facility.

- emptying garbage's and sorting bottles and cans (recyclables)

- shoveling fire pits, raking sites and grounds clean-up

For the housekeeper/cleaner position, the successful applicant(s) is someone with excellent attention to detail, trustworthy, reliable, positive, and self motivated. They should have cleaning and organizational skills, able to handle physically demanding work, willing to be flexible, and have a driver's license and vehicle. In addition, they must be able to work weekends.

Experience in professional housekeeping would be an asset.

Job Types: Part-time, Seasonal

Contract length: 2 months (mid September 2025-mid November 2025) Potential for rehire in spring of 2026

Part-time hours: 5 - 20 hours per week

Salary: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
