Looking to be part of a dynamic team? The Baymont by Wyndham Fort McMurray is now hiring a Housekeeping Attendant.

Summary:

The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and supplies for guest rooms, hallways and public areas at the hotel. The Room Attendant is also responsible for the stocking of carts, replacement of bed linens, bathroom towels and replenishment of guest supplies.

Main Duties:

Cleans and prepares rooms for new guest arrival or based on stay-overs as assigned. Performs daily bed making, vacuuming, dusting and bathroom cleaning/sanitizing according to hotel standards. Receives and monitors list of rooms for stay-overs, exiting guests, etc. Replenishes supplies for guests and obtains supplies for housekeeping cart. Performs end-of-stay procedures and delivers linens and towels to laundry department. Performs rotational cleaning procedures according to schedules(steam clean carpets, wash walls/paintwork, etc.). Vacuums hallways and dusts furniture. Attends to guest request for additional supplies such as pillows, towels, etc. Ensures security of room upon exit and respects guest privacy. Our hotel property is a shared responsibility for the entire team, and as such this position may handle other general duties as required.

Skills/Requirements:

High School diploma or Grade 12 Equivalency (GED) preferred. Strong work ethic, physical stamina and good organizational abilities. Physical fitness for heavy lifting, moving and operation of specialized cleaning equipment. Good customer service skills with emphasis on politeness, courtesy, discretion and honesty and the ability to respond at all times in a friendly, helpful manner to guests and other employees. Knowledge of occupational health and safety requirements consistent with hospitality sector. Good organizational and time management abilities. Ability to collaborate effectively with others.

Effective English verbal and written communication skills

. Knowledge of health and safety procedures for hygiene, sanitization and use of cleaning supplies and equipment. Knowledge of storage procedures for cleaning supplies/hazardous materials
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00-$19.50 per hour
