Under the direct supervision of the Manager, Housekeeping, this position is responsible for daily cleaning and maintenance of all public areas of the hotel while contributing to a safe and welcoming work environment. Ensures adherence to the Company's policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example and supports Great Canadian's learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.
Key Accountabilities
Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing washrooms and other assigned areas, including, but not limited to, the following: sweeping, mopping, general cleanup, vacuuming, debris removal, waxing of floors, etc.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Empty trash bins and replace liners as needed.
Comply with safety procedures including use of required safety equipment and identify unsafe practices or conditions.
Ensures any trip or fall hazards are identified, i.e. wet floors or stairs. Ensures hallways and access routes are free of debris and waste.
Is responsible for monitoring the inventory level of supplies.
Is responsible to ensure that said duties are carried out in compliance of departmental or Internal Control Manual policies and procedures.
Promote and maintain the utmost integrity and the highest caliber of customer service and respect to all patrons, employees and casino personnel.
Maintain general awareness of gaming operation at all times and comply with security policies and procedures in order to secure company assets.
Adheres to all AGCO, GCGC, departmental and HR policies as they relate to functions of the role.
Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Qualifications
High School Diploma
Minimum 1 year housekeeping/janitorial experience
Food Safety Certification
Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License
