Position Summary

Under the direct supervision of the Facilities Manager, this position is responsible for maintaining a clean, hygienic environment that is safe and hazard free. Upholds safety and security standards of the corpor ation including use of personal protective equipment as necessary. Assist in maintaining good public relations with patrons by ensuring customer service standards are achieved. Ensures adherence to the Company\'s policies and procedures, mot ivates and leads by example and supports Great Canadian\'s learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.

Key Accountabilities

  • Performs general and specialized ( e.g., electronic fireplaces, water features, etc.) maintenance and repairs to site property, including regular compliance inspections and preventative maintenance
  • Maintains site in a clean, hygienic manner ensuring environment is safe and hazard free
  • Upholds safety and security standards of the corporation including use of personal protective equipment as necessary
  • Assist in maintaining good public relations with patrons by ensuring customer service standards are achieved
  • Responsible for washroom repairs such as daily preventative maintenance of washroom fixtures; changing of hand soap/hand sanitizer; unclogging toilets and sinks using various tools and equipment; changing/replacing burnt o ut light bulbs; wall repairs and painting; some carpentry work; carpet and floor repairs; vacuum cleaner maintenance; preventative maintenance on stand-alone HVAC units; other related duties as assigned
  • Maintain a clean and safe work e nvironment. Comply with safety procedures including use of required safety equipment and identify unsafe practices or conditions
  • Ensures any trip or fall hazards are identified, i.e. wet floors or stairs. Ensures hallways and access r outes are free of debris and waste
  • Is responsible to ensure that said duties are carried out in compliance of departmental or Internal Control Manual policies and procedures
  • Required to operate the scissor lift and to perform high -to-reach areas of cleaning
  • Promote and maintain the utmost integrity and the highest caliber of customer service and respect to all patrons, team members and casino personnel
  • Occasionally, as directed by supervisor leads will be required to assist with the cleaning of sections on and off the gaming floor, which includes but is not limited to: cleaning of slot machines, cleaning of washrooms; replenishing supplies; removal of waste; cleaning of designated smoking ar eas; and dusting, vacuuming and mopping
  • Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
  • Performs other duties as assigned or directed
Education and Qualifications
  • Minimum High School Diploma or an equivalence or combination of work experience and education
  • Certification/license from one of the trade professions would be an asset
  • Experience in a related field of 1 or more years with formal training in one or more of the related trade professions would be an asset
  • Strong organization, interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License
