Position Overview

Housekeeping is a vital element to the casino's image and crucial for customer service objectives. The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of all areas in the casino and ensuring the environment is safe and hazard free.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Greet guests and interact with them Promote positive customer experiences by providing prompt and courteous services Possess full knowledge of the Totem Rewards benefits and slot promotions Maintain a professional and positive demeanor Sell casino promotions, programs, and amenities to casino guests Maintain daily checklists and ensure tasks are completed according to company standards Sweep, vacuum, mop, dust, and polish Dispose of garbage Ensure the cleanliness of washrooms Shampoo carpets, rugs, and chairs Ensure any trip or fall hazards are identified, i.e. wet floors or stairs Ensures hallways and access routes are free of debris and waste Protect equipment and ensure there are no inadequacies Remove empty or abandoned cups, bottles, and glasses from casino floor Respond to service calls Report intoxicated guests to the Casino Shift Manager Adheres to Grey Rock Entertainment Centre internal controls, policies, and procedures Maintain working tools and equipment in good working conditions Keep working area clean including: sinks, buckets, etc Other duties as required and assigned

Working Conditions

May be required to stand, sit or bend for extended periods of time Must be available to work a rotating shift support the Casino hours of operations (holidays and weekend included) Must be physically able to handle and transport materials that are over 25lbs Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment

Pay: From $17.50 per hour
