Housekeeper

0.2 FTE - Permanent Part-Time


8 hours/week

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Housekeeper adheres to the regulations and guidelines established by The Bethany Group and is responsible for the


housekeeping duties at the building of responsibility. The Housekeeper works under the supervision of the Housing


Manager, Housing & Community Services. The person in this position is paid an hourly rate for cleaning services, based on


an established number of cleaning hours.

QUALIFICATIONS:

o High School Diploma


Demonstrates ability to read, comprehend and write English at a grade twelve level, as fundamental Valid Class 5 Driver's License and vehicle - travel is required

REQUIREMENTS:

o Good communication skills; participates as a team player and problem solver


Interested in working with senior citizens; focus on direct or indirect care and service to residents, families, peers Basic computer skills required, including ability to open, read and send emails; ability to access and utilize network
information (internet and/or intranet) to access resources material and communication


Cleans the hallways and the common areas of the building Cleans the entrance doors and floors on a daily basis Vacuums and dusts floors and furnishings. Washes the handrails and disinfects more often if needed Responsible to advise maintenance/manager of any needed repairs Compliance with Legislative Acts i.e., Protection of Persons in Care & Freedom of Information and
Protection of Privacy


Other duties as assigned
