Job Description

The Continuing Education department of Champlain College Saint-Lambert requires the services of an HOURLY INSTRUCTOR for the course APPROACHES, INTERVENTIONS, AND PROGRAMS FOR ASD (351-H22-VL).
This course aims to develop the students' knowledge of the fundamentals of the main approaches used with individuals diagnosed with ASD in order to understand the specifics of their applications. At the end of this course, students will be able to identify the approaches and techniques of intervention and to judge their relevance, while assessing their own ability to use them in their interventions.
Required Qualifications :
Must have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a discipline related to Special Care Counselling and 2 years teaching experience.
Must have a minimum of 3 years experience working with an autistic clientele.
Teaching experience within a similar program is an asset.
This course is taught in English; proficiency in English is required.

Comments :
Approximately one (1) Saturday class per month will be given in-person and the remaining classes will be delivered online/at distance.
The specific in-person dates will be determined in collaboration with the hired instructor.
The selected candidate must have the ability to deliver a course online.

The schedule and course dates may change based on the needs of the program.
This course is taught in English. The selected incumbent will be required to work in English.
