Adobe Inn is seeking a Front Desk Cashier to join our team in Martensville, SK. We are looking to hire part time and full-time front desk and retail clerks who provides prompt, courteous and knowledgeable service and advice to all customers/clients of Adobe Inn to enhance their shopping and lodging experience. E.g., checking in and out of guests, making reservations, talking on the phone, and answering general knowledge questions. This position is also responsible for greeting customers and directing them to shopping areas. You will oversee receiving delivery and displaying/stocking the products, maintaining cleanliness of the store, which will include stocking shelves, cleaning floors and cashier areas. You should enjoy working with people and be able to keep cool and composed under pressure. We expect you to react quickly to situations that require your attention and make quick decisions. Ultimately, you should respond to customer inquiries and handle returns in a professional manner. Excellent English is required. Preference will be given to those who are able to work any shift, including weekends and closing shift (usually done after 11pm). Those applying for full time status must be able to work weekends and closing shift. Responsibilities:

• Take, cancel and change room reservations\xef\xbc\x8cprovide information on hotel facilities and services, receives and registers guests as they arrive

• Reports any damages to the maintenance staff for repair given to the reception by guests

• Process guests\' departures, calculate charges and receive payments

• Ensures that all daily reports are completed correctly

• Answer telephone and relay telephone calls and messages

• Operate cash registers, computers and other store equipment to ring up sales, issue receipts and make change. Ensures products are scanning correctly. Maintain an accurate cash drawer while following company policies and procedures

• Maintain a clean and well merchandised area including but not limited to dusting displays, washing shelves and bottles, sweeping, mopping, sanitizing and performing interior cleaning as needed

• Maintaining overall security of the store

• Distribute incoming shipments from company suppliers to store inventory, sort new stock items into correct locations according to company

• Stock, arrange and rotate liquor merchandise on shelves, stock beer coolers and set up displays. Stocking shelves may involve carrying large quantities of wine, spirits and beer; and involves accessing products in the backroom storage area

• Be familiar with and adhere to SIRS policies such as selling of age restricted items and all government regulations relating to wine, spirits, beer, and cigarettes. Ensure products are displayed according to government regulations and company standards

• Prepares daily cash reconciliations. Maintains a balanced float while on shift, reporting and accounting for any discrepancies
