Ensure every guest experience is elevated, seamless, and deeply personal, embodying the values of Relais & Chateaux and Five Diamond service excellence.
Brand Values & Cultural Leadership

Executive Leadership & Operational Excellence
Provide clear, visionary leadership to the hotel's executive committee, cultivating collaboration across all departments: Rooms Division, Food & Beverage, Spa, Events, Sales, and Finance.
Ensure day-to-day operations are flawlessly executed, aligning departmental efforts with the overarching service philosophy.
Implement luxury best practices and ensure exacting standards are consistently met or exceeded across the property.
Financial Stewardship & Strategic Growth
Oversee the hotel's financial performance, including forecasting, budgeting, cost controls, and profitability analysis.
Develop and execute business strategies that drive revenue growth while maintaining brand integrity and service excellence.
Leverage data-driven insights and market intelligence to position the hotel competitively within the global luxury landscape.
Distinguished Brand Representation
Represent the Wedgewood Hotel with grace and confidence in all external engagements--with guests, media, tourism boards, and industry partners.
Deepen connections within the local and international luxury travel communities to enhance brand visibility and guest acquisition.
Act as custodian of the hotel's superb reputation, ensuring all brand messaging and partnerships align with its identity.
Human Resources & Labour Relations
Maintain a visible and approachable leadership style, by the hotel's open-door policy.
Attract, mentor, and develop exceptional hospitality professionals, building a team defined by passion, professionalism, and loyalty.
Ensure compliance with British Columbia's employment legislation and standards; previous experience in unionized environments is advantageous.
Cultivate a workplace environment defined by trust, transparency, and mutual respect.
Maintain an expert understanding of the international luxury hospitality landscape, anticipating trends and evolving guest expectations.
Uphold and enrich service touchpoints throughout the hotel--from arrival and culinary presentation to spa treatments and departure.
Requirements
:
Executive Experience
: Minimum 5 years in a senior leadership role (Hotel Manager, Director of Operations) within a luxury hotel or resort.
Strong operational background with proven experience managing both Rooms Division and Food & Beverage departments
A Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or a related field is required
Luxury Market Expertise
: In-depth understanding of high-end hospitality standards and guest expectations, familiarity with local marketing experience with globally recognized luxury brands is a strong asset.
Financial Acumen
: Demonstrated success in budgeting, revenue growth, and cost control. Skilled in forecasting and achieving financial targets through sound operational planning.
Guest-Centric Leadership
: Commitment to creating personalized, high-touch experiences that reflect five-diamond standards.
People & Communication Skills
: Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities; proven strength in building relationships with guests, teams, and stakeholders.
