Job Description

The Best Western Plus Sands is looking to add to our maintenance team! We are looking for a friendly, hard-working, experienced maintenance person to work under our maintenance manager. Our property is a 121 guest room hotel that has done many renovations, but we continue to upgrade our facilities. We also have 2 restaurants on-site plus a golf simulator lounge!

Communicate with various departments to fix any reported issues

Customer Service: you will be required to speak with guests about in room issues and work to fix the issue

Take initiative to fix anything that may require attention in the hotel

Experience with plumbing, electrical and finishing work is an asset

Ability to be a self-starter and also take direction from the manager

Provide assistance to other team members as required

Respond to maintenance requests from guests and staff members, addressing issues in a timely manner

Willingness to work on renovation projects, including demolition, and installation of new materials

Be health & safety conscious and maintain a safe working environment

Other duties as assigned

Past experience in hotel maintenance is preferred

This job is shift work and may require you to work nights and/or weekends but for now we are looking to fill Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm.
