Job Summary:



The Hotel Maintenance Engineer is responsible for the general maintenance and repair of the hotel's physical property, systems, and equipment. This role ensures that all building systems operate efficiently and safely to maintain a high standard of comfort, safety, and appearance for guests and team members.

Key Responsibilities:



Perform routine maintenance and repairs on hotel equipment and systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, and mechanical. Inspect and maintain guestrooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure everything is in working order. Respond promptly to maintenance service requests from guests and hotel departments. Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance tasks in accordance with hotel standards. Maintain a clean, organized workshop and ensure tools and equipment are in good working condition. Assist with installation and setup of new equipment and fixtures. Follow safety procedures and hotel policies in all maintenance work. Support the Engineering team in emergency situations and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:



High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in relevant trade(s) preferred. Previous maintenance or engineering experience in a hotel or similar environment is an asset. Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repair. Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must be able to lift, push, and pull heavy objects and be on your feet for extended periods. Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays, as needed.
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $22.99-$23.00 per hour
