Provide maintenance repairs and services for the operation of the building and building equipment in the hotel in accordance with standards set by the Chief Engineer and Maintenance Manager.
Provides professional and welcoming levels of service to all guests; utilizing empowerment steps to exceed guest expectations.
Anticipate guest's needs and preferences and acting on them whenever possible.
Team Member will maintain a positive working relationship with fellow colleagues and guests, willing and able to assist others inside and outside the department.
Works in compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act and regulations.
Adheres to hotel health and safety policies.
Use proper protective equipment and clothing and use all necessary precautions to avoid injury.
Follow policies related to the safe operation and storage of tools, equipment as well as an emergency response, controlled substances, WHMIS and other procedures outlined by Hotel Polices.
Report work related accidents, or other injuries immediately upon occurrence to manager/supervisor.
Follow Hotel's emergency procedures (e.g., Fire Alarm, Evacuations, Loss prevention).
Participate in testing of Fire prevention equipment as directed by Chief Engineer.
Maintain area of work clean and safe at all times.
Perform maintenance repairs to guest rooms, public areas, administrative and back of the house areas. Those repairs include but are not limited to: painting and wall covering, drywall repairs, small repairs to furnishings and fixtures, touchups, lighting, plumbing, small electrical work, heating and cooling components, caulking jobs in bathrooms and kitchen, replace or repair damaged tiles, wood flooring and carpet, carpentry and related tasks, repair/replace door locks and hardware, build cabinets, wall partitions and suspended ceiling.
Performs skills training and conducts quality audits with maintenance team.
Performs various duties of a maintenance mechanic and/or groundskeeper when required.
Troubleshoot, diagnose or repair defective equipment and components.
Maintain physical functionality of all spaces and systems by performing preventive maintenance programs and recording and reporting completed repairs and items that needed further attention.
Maintains thermal comfort in meeting rooms at all time, controls the schedule of available systems through building automation. Solicit effective feedback to keep temperature at comfortable level in occupied rooms.
Replace light bulbs throughout the facility maintaining lighting consistency and comfort.
Maintain Swimming Pool and Jacuzzi in good operational order as per Public Health guidelines and departmental directives. This includes maintaining chemical levels, logbook entries, safety systems and futures and regular cleaning.
Perform other job duties as requested by Maintenance Management.
Maintain physical functionality of all spaces and systems by performing preventive maintenance programs and recording and reporting completed repairs and items that needed further attention.
Monitor inventory levels for parts, consumables and engineering supplies to ensure availability at all times and reports shortages to Maintenance Management.
Complies with hotel policies and procedures.
Attend departmental and position required training.
Participate in any pre and post shift briefings.
Performs other tasks as assigned by management
