Responsibilities

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling practices. Assist in meal preparation for special events or large parties as needed. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and high-quality food presentation. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to management. Participate in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.

Skills

Proven experience as a cook in a restaurant or similar food service environment. Strong knowledge of kitchen equipment, cooking techniques, and meal preparation methods. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices for food handling. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively in a busy kitchen setting. A passion for the culinary arts and a desire to continually improve cooking skills.
