Duties
Greet guests as they arrive and provide them with a warm welcome.
Manage reservations and seating arrangements to optimize guest flow.
Communicate effectively with the kitchen and wait staff to ensure timely service.
Assist guests with inquiries regarding the menu, specials, and restaurant policies.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host area.
Handle phone calls with professionalism, providing information and taking reservations as needed.
Collaborate with team members to enhance guest satisfaction and resolve any issues that may arise.
Skills
Strong background in food service or hospitality is preferred.
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with guests and staff.
Proficient in customer service principles, ensuring a positive dining experience for all guests.
Familiarity with POS systems for managing reservations and orders is a plus.
Good phone etiquette for handling inquiries and reservations professionally.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
