Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Host to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. The ideal candidate will excel in guest services, possess excellent communication skills, and have experience in hospitality or food service environments. This role involves managing reservations, greeting guests, and ensuring a smooth flow of seating and service in a fast-paced restaurant or hotel setting. The Host/Host will be the first point of contact for our patrons, making their experience memorable from the moment they arrive.

Duties

Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide a positive first impression Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms Escort guests to their tables and ensure they are comfortable Answer phone inquiries with professional phone etiquette, providing accurate information about wait times and seating arrangements Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and service Handle guest concerns or special requests courteously and professionally Assist with general hospitality duties to enhance guest experience

Qualifications

Previous experience in guest services, hospitality, or food service is preferred, especially in restaurant or hotel environments Strong communication skills and excellent phone etiquette Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly demeanor Knowledge of serving procedures, restaurant operations, and hospitality standards is advantageous Basic understanding of food service operations and guest interaction protocols Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings if required
