Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Host to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for guests, providing exceptional guest services and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. This role is vital in creating a positive dining experience and supporting the smooth operation of our restaurant or hospitality establishment. Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is preferred but not required; excellent communication and customer service skills are essential.

Duties

Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage waitlists efficiently Escort guests to their tables and provide menus Handle reservations and manage seating arrangements using POS systems such as Micros POS Answer phone inquiries with professional phone etiquette and assist with reservation bookings Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host station Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to coordinate guest seating and service flow Assist with guest inquiries, special requests, and feedback to ensure satisfaction Support restaurant operations during busy periods, including managing guest flow and wait times

Requirements

Strong guest services and customer service skills with a friendly demeanor Previous experience in serving, hospitality, or food service is a plus; hotel experience is also beneficial Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is preferred Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of restaurant operations and phone etiquette is desirable Professional appearance and positive attitude are essential for representing our establishment effectively
