Overview

A new Cocktail Bar/Retro Arcade in the exchange is seeking a friendly and organized Host/Hostess to join our dynamic team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring an exceptional dining experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills, a passion for hospitality, be reliable, have the ability to communicate effectively with both guests and staff and have an open availability.

Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables. Manage reservations and maintain an organized seating chart to optimize dining flow. Answer phone calls with excellent phone etiquette, taking reservations and providing information about the restaurant. Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction. Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and feedback in a professional manner. Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area. Support food service operations as needed, including assisting with takeout orders or special events.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in a restaurant or hospitality setting. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with guests and team members. Familiarity with POS systems is a plus but not required; training will be provided. Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A friendly demeanor with a genuine desire to help others and enhance their dining experience. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
