Overview

We are seeking a friendly, professional Host/Host to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. The ideal candidate will excel in guest services, possess excellent communication skills, and have experience in hospitality or food service environments. This role is vital in ensuring a positive first impression and smooth flow of operations within our restaurant or hotel setting. Previous experience with restaurant POS systems such as Micros is a plus, as is hotel experience. The Host/Host will be the first point of contact for guests, managing reservations, seating arrangements, and providing exceptional customer service to enhance the overall guest experience.

Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using POS systems like Micros Provide menus and answer initial questions about the establishment's offerings Maintain a clean and organized host station and waiting area Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely service Handle phone inquiries with professional phone etiquette Assist guests with special requests or accommodations as needed Ensure guest satisfaction by providing attentive and courteous service from arrival to departure Support other front-of-house duties to promote a seamless dining or guest experience

Requirements

Prior experience in guest services, serving, or hospitality preferred Strong communication skills and friendly demeanor Knowledge of food service operations and POS systems such as Micros is advantageous Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills Previous restaurant or hotel experience is a plus but not mandatory Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if required

Pay: From $17.85 per hour
