Job Overview

As a Host/Host, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for their dining experience. Your primary responsibility will be to warmly greet guests, manage reservations, and ensure that they are seated in a timely manner. This role requires excellent customer service skills and a friendly demeanor to create a welcoming atmosphere in our restaurant.

Duties

- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant.
- Manage the seating chart and ensure efficient seating of guests.
- Take reservations and maintain an organized reservation system.
- Communicate wait times to guests and provide updates as necessary.
- Assist with guest inquiries and provide information about menu items and specials.
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow.
- Maintain cleanliness of the host/host area and dining room.
- Handle phone calls with professionalism and courtesy, providing excellent phone etiquette.

Skills

- Strong customer service skills with a focus on hospitality.
- Experience with POS systems is preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with guests and staff.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant settings is a plus.
- A friendly, outgoing personality that enhances guest experiences.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
