Overview

We are seeking a friendly and organized host/hostess to join our team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring an exceptional dining experience. Your ability to communicate effectively and manage guest flow will contribute significantly to our restaurant's success.

Duties

Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide them with menus. Manage reservations and seating arrangements to optimize the dining area. Communicate wait times clearly to guests and keep them informed during busy periods. Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area. Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service delivery. Handle phone inquiries with professionalism, providing information about the menu, specials, and reservations. Address guest concerns promptly and courteously, ensuring their satisfaction throughout their visit.

Skills

Strong customer service skills with a focus on hospitality and guest satisfaction. Excellent communication abilities, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with guests and team members. Experience with POS systems is preferred for efficient order processing. Familiarity with food service operations in a restaurant or hotel setting is an asset. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Proficient phone etiquette for handling inquiries and reservations professionally. A helpful attitude towards guests and colleagues, fostering a positive team environment.
