Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly, organized, and professional Hostess to join our team. As a Hostess, you will be the first point of contact for our guests and play a key role in creating a welcoming and positive first impression. You will be responsible for greeting guests, managing reservations and waitlists, and assisting with seating to ensure smooth restaurant operations. Your ability to multitask, communicate effectively, and remain calm in a fast-paced environment will be essential to your success in this role.

Responsibilities

Greet and welcome guests with a warm and friendly demeanor, ensuring they feel comfortable and valued upon arrival.
Manage reservations, waitlists, and guest flow to ensure efficient seating and minimal wait times.
Escort guests to their tables and present menus as needed.
Communicate clearly with servers and management regarding table availability and guest needs.
Answer phone calls and respond to guest inquiries in a polite and professional manner.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand, entrance, and waiting area.
Assist with special requests, celebrations, or seating accommodations when possible.
Monitor the dining room to ensure guest satisfaction and support the service team as needed.
Handle guest concerns or questions promptly and professionally to enhance their overall experience.

Skills

Strong customer service and interpersonal skills with a friendly and approachable attitude.
Excellent communication skills for interacting with guests and team members.
Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
Basic knowledge of restaurant operations is preferred but not required.
Comfortable using reservation systems or POS seating tools (training provided if needed).
Professional appearance and positive attitude.
Ability to work well as part of a team and support front-of-house operations.
Strong time management skills to ensure smooth guest flow.
