Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Host to join our hospitality team. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for guests, ensuring they receive a warm welcome and a memorable experience. This role involves managing reservations, seating guests, and providing excellent guest services in a lively dining environment. Prior experience in restaurant or hospitality settings is advantageous, but a positive attitude and strong communication skills are essential. The ideal candidate will be organised, courteous, and able to handle multiple tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities

Greeting guests warmly upon arrival and managing their seating arrangements Managing reservations and waitlists efficiently using the booking system Providing guests with menus and answering any initial questions about the establishment Maintaining a clean and organised reception area to ensure a welcoming atmosphere Assisting with guest enquiries both in person and over the phone using professional phone etiquette Coordinating with the service team to ensure smooth flow of service during busy periods Handling guest complaints or concerns politely and effectively to ensure satisfaction Supporting the team with general duties as required to uphold high standards of guest service

Qualifications

Previous experience in restaurant or hospitality environments is preferred but not essential Strong communication skills, both verbal and written Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively Experience in guest services or serving is desirable Familiarity with hotel or restaurant reservation systems is a plus Ability to maintain professionalism and courtesy at all times, including on the phone A friendly demeanour with a genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer service

Pay: $17.20-$18.00 per hour
