Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Host to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. The ideal candidate will excel in guest services, possess excellent communication skills, and have experience in hospitality or food service environments. This role is vital in ensuring guests have a positive first impression and enjoy a seamless dining experience. The Host/Host will be responsible for managing reservations, greeting guests, and coordinating seating arrangements to optimize the flow of the restaurant or establishment.

Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide a positive first impression Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms Escort guests to their tables and ensure they are comfortable Answer phone calls with professional phone etiquette, assist with inquiries, and take reservations as needed Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area Communicate effectively with servers, kitchen staff, and management to coordinate seating and service flow Handle guest concerns or special requests courteously and promptly Assist in maintaining a welcoming environment that promotes guest satisfaction and repeat business

Requirements

Previous experience in guest services, hospitality, or food service is preferred, especially within restaurant or hotel settings Strong communication skills and excellent phone etiquette Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus Demonstrated hospitality skills with a friendly demeanor and professional appearance Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, or holidays if required Prior restaurant experience is highly desirable but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential

Pay: From $17.60 per hour
