Duties

Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables. Manage the reservation system and maintain an organized waiting list during peak hours. Provide accurate wait times and communicate effectively with guests regarding their seating status. Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction. Handle phone inquiries with professionalism, including reservations and general information about the restaurant. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and dining area. Assist in managing the flow of guests during busy periods to optimize seating efficiency. Uphold high standards of hospitality, ensuring that every guest feels valued and appreciated.

Requirements

Previous experience in guest services or hospitality is preferred, particularly in a restaurant or hotel setting. Strong communication skills with an emphasis on phone etiquette and customer interaction. Familiarity with food service operations and POS systems, specifically Micros POS, is advantageous. Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A friendly demeanor with a genuine desire to provide excellent customer service. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
