We are seeking an enthusiastic and friendly

Host/Hostess

to be the first point of contact for our guests. As a key member of our front-of-house team, you'll set the tone for an authentic Irish pub experience by greeting guests, managing reservations, and ensuring smooth operations in our bustling environment.

Responsibilities:

Warmly greet and seat guests, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Manage reservations and waitlists using our booking system. Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries about menu items, events, or bookings. Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure efficient table turnover. Assist with light bussing or food running during peak hours. Maintain a clean and organized front-of-house area. Support special events, such as live music nights or private bookings. Uphold safety and sanitation standards in line with Nova Scotia regulations.
Qualifications:

Previous experience as a host/hostess or in customer service (preferred but not required). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly, upbeat attitude. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays (pub hours: 11 AM-midnight, later on Fridays/Saturdays). Must have valid government-issued photo ID and be able to pass a criminal background check. Knowledge of Irish culture or hospitality is a plus!

Pay: $50,000.00-$61,400.00 per year
