Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for their dining experience. Your primary responsibility will be to greet guests warmly, manage reservations, and ensure a smooth flow of service in the restaurant. A strong emphasis on customer service and hospitality is essential to create a welcoming environment.

Duties

Greet guests upon arrival with a warm and friendly demeanor. Manage the seating chart and coordinate seating arrangements based on guest flow and reservations. Answer phone calls promptly and handle inquiries regarding reservations, wait times, and menu options with excellent phone etiquette. Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the host stand and dining area. Provide accurate wait time estimates to guests and communicate effectively with the serving staff regarding guest needs. Help guests with any special requests or accommodations, ensuring a positive dining experience. Collaborate with team members to enhance guest services and improve overall efficiency in the restaurant.

Skills

Previous experience in food service, hotel, or restaurant environments is preferred. Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on hospitality and guest satisfaction. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with guests and team members. Familiarity with POS systems is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential. Excellent phone etiquette and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. A proactive attitude towards helping others and resolving any issues that may arise during service.
