Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Host to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. The ideal candidate will excel in guest services, possess excellent communication skills, and have experience in hospitality or food service environments. This role is vital in ensuring a positive first impression and smooth operation of the dining experience. The Host/Host will be responsible for greeting guests, managing reservations, and coordinating seating arrangements to optimize customer satisfaction.

Duties

Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using Open table and the POS Provide exceptional guest services by answering questions and addressing concerns promptly Maintain a clean and organized host stand area Communicate effectively with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth service flow Handle phone inquiries with professional phone etiquette, including taking reservations and providing information about the restaurant Assist with maintaining the cleanliness of the dining area and lobby Support the team during busy hours by managing guest flow and ensuring timely seating

Requirements

Previous experience in hospitality, food service, or restaurant environments is preferred Strong guest services skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor Excellent communication skills and professional phone etiquette Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of POS systems such as Opentable or similar platforms is a plus Experience in hotel or restaurant operations is advantageous Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends if needed Demonstrated ability to provide outstanding customer service and create positive guest experiences
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 20 per week
