Overview

We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Host to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. This role is essential in providing exceptional guest services, managing reservations, and ensuring smooth seating operations within our restaurant or hospitality establishment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and a strong background in food service or hospitality. Previous restaurant experience and familiarity with POS systems such as Micros are highly valued. Duties

Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage waitlists efficiently Escort guests to their tables and provide menus promptly Handle reservation bookings via phone or online platforms with professionalism and courtesy Manage guest seating arrangements to optimize table turnover and guest satisfaction Answer phone inquiries with proper phone etiquette and assist with general questions about the restaurant or hotel services Take customer orders accurately and relay them to servers or kitchen staff as needed Operate POS systems such as Micros for processing reservations, orders, and payments Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host station and waiting area Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless service delivery and guest satisfaction

Requirements

Prior experience in guest services, serving, or hospitality preferred; restaurant experience is highly desirable Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with guests and team members Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is a plus Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and professionalism at all times Previous hotel or food service experience is advantageous but not mandatory Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
