Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Host to join our hospitality team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. This role involves managing reservations, greeting guests, and coordinating seating arrangements to create a seamless dining experience. Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is preferred, along with strong communication and phone etiquette skills. The Host/Host plays a vital role in maintaining the restaurant's reputation for outstanding guest service.

Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements to optimize flow and guest satisfaction Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms Answer phone inquiries professionally, providing information about the restaurant and reservation options Maintain a clean and organized host stand area, ensuring a welcoming environment at all times Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and service delivery Handle guest inquiries, special requests, and complaints with professionalism and courtesy Assist in maintaining overall cleanliness of the dining area, lobby, and host station Support team members during busy hours by assisting with basic food service or guest needs when necessary

Requirements

Prior experience in guest services, serving, or hospitality is highly desirable; restaurant experience is preferred Strong communication skills with excellent phone etiquette Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms is a plus Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed Experience in hotel or food service industries is advantageous but not mandatory Must possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure smooth operations
